The Ski Safari Experience

Ski Safari in France
A pair of skis is the ultimate transformation to freedom ~ Warren Miller
While Alaska is the go-to for heli-skiing and freeride experiences, discerning skiers are turning to Europe, specifically the Tarantaise Valley, for its safer and more cultured backcountry opportunities that still tick every box when it comes to thrill. Ski safari in France is the next big thing.
Conquer France and Italy in One Week
The Chalet Rosière Ski Safari Experience is carefully curated to give you the best of ski safari in Europe. You’ll start the week by honing your skills with avalanche training and a technique master class. We’ll then put you to the test with an expedition starting at a different resort each day.
You’ll be able to choose from our Resort Expeditions (mostly on-piste with some off-piste) or Backcountry Expeditions (entirely off-piste) depending on your level. Both packages enable participants to enjoy skiing in both France and Italy thanks to our ideal proximity to La Thuile. The climax of the week will be a two-drop heli-skiing expedition to your very own untracked, fresh powder playground.
Skiers and snowboarders are equally welcome. While we can cater for mixed levels, it is essential that all Ski Safari participants are competent.
