The July Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse
This July we will be hosting a liberating yoga and hiking retreat. The retreat scheduled to coincide with the Buck full moon and the July lunar eclipse.
Some yoga traditions abstain from practising yoga during the full moon, but just like the Goan full moon party founders we believe that each full moon is something to celebrate. It is an awe-inspiring universe we live in and the full moon is the ultimate symbol of that wonder. The full moon is the perfect time for an adventure, and we are gently calling you to come and adventure with us this July.
Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga
Nourishing morning and evening yoga taught by Sarah Campbell-Lloyd. Every morning we will greet the day with 75-minutes of Vinyasa Flow to get your breath and blood flowing. Every evening we will wind down with 75-minutes of deep Yin Yoga stretching, to release physical and emotional tension and welcome sleep.
Hiking in the French Alps
Five of the six full days of this retreat will be spent hiking stunning trails in the Savoie Mont Blanc mountain range. Hikes will build up in duration, from 2-3 hour hikes with lots of rest time, to 6-7 hour hikes along challenging terrain. During each hike Sarah will lead guided meditations that will immerse you in wilderness, tuning into the sounds, smells and the soil beneath your feet.
By giving yourself a week of freedom in the mountains, and by connecting with nature and nurturing your body and soul, your own inner wilderness will be given the space to be. We’ll check in throughout the week, and support each other with practises to honour inner and outer wilderness in our daily lives.
A Vegan Detox Yoga and Hiking Retreat
We’ll be serving a daily menu of rustic, nutritionally balanced vegan meals using fresh local produce, some from our own garden. Meals will be hearty and full of flavour. You’ll be glowing after a week of our alcohol free, refined sugar free, palm oil free detoxifying menu.
Each morning you’ll be served a hearty breakfast with cold and hot options, and a freshly made smoothie/cold pressed juice/health shot. You’ll be provided with a simple picnic packed lunch for the hike. In the evenings, rustic 3-course dinners will be nourishing, exciting, and eagerly anticipated after the day’s activity.
Rest will be an important part of this yoga and hiking retreat. One full day will be given over to rest at the chalet. Down time can be spent sleeping deeply in our gorgeous bedding, exploring our extensive library, curling up by the fire with a great book or journal, forest bathing, drinking in the views or watching sunset over the mountains from the bubbly goodness of our outdoor Jacuzzi. You will each also receive a 60-minute treatment with our holistic therapy expert, and be able to book additional treatments during the week.

Meet your yoga family on this mountain yoga retreat in the French Alps.
Sarah Campbell-Lloyd is a 500 hour certified yoga teacher and has been exploring yoga for over a decade. Sarah is particularly inspired by the combination of Alignment and Vinyasa yoga, and their ability to create freedom in the body. Her teaching delivers a lighter, more grounded and present awareness in the body and mind, through synchronisation of breath and movement.
Sarah teaches on Chalet Rosière mountain retreats, and at her thriving East Sussex yoga studio, Yard Yoga.
Holistic Therapy Expert
Sam Paton-Smith is Chalet Rosière’s holistic massage and therapy expert with over 10 years of experience and qualifications including: Deep Tissue Massage and Sports Massage, Reflexology and Craniosacral Therapy.
Sam works treats mostly skiers and cyclists and has an incredibly intuitive touch. A treatment from Sam is the perfect way to enhance your yoga and mountain sport experience, to protect against injury, and to aid muscle recovery and strengthening.

Train Station Transfers
This retreat has been scheduled to coincide with specific train times. Transfers will be provided from Lyon-Part-Dieu and Bourg-Saint-Maurice train stations.
Flow + Yin Yoga
Over 15 hours of Vinyasa Flow and Yin yoga, plus guided outdoor meditations, taught by Sarah Campbell-Lloyd of Yard Yoga.
Daily guided hikes along five of the most beautiful alpine trails of the Savoie Mont Blanc region.
You’ll receive a 60-minute holistic massage treatment with holistic therapy expert Sam Paton-Smith.
Unwind after a day of mountain sport in our outdoor hot Jacuzzi with sunset mountain views.
We’ll be serving a detoxifying, nutritionally-balance, sustainable vegan menu that will ensure that you are mountain-ready every day.
